Spiked Chocolate Truffle Hot Cocoa

This is a grown-up mug of hot chocolate for a cold evening, with a pour of chocolate liqueur stirred into your favorite hot cocoa. Whipped cream and chocolate shavings finish it off.

Serves 2

Ingredients

  • 10 ounces hot cocoa, prepared
  • 4 ounces chocolate truffle liqueur or other chocolate liqueur
  • Whipped cream, for topping
  • Chocolate shavings, for topping

Instructions

  1. Make the hot cocoa and divide it between two 8-ounce mugs.
  2. Stir 2 ounces of chocolate liqueur into each mug.
  3. Spoon whipped cream on top, scatter with chocolate shavings and serve hot.
