About Milk Lady Farmers’ Markets

Gigi Goin founded Milk Lady Farmers’ Markets in 2011. Since then she has partnered with more than 125 farmers and vendors to bring fresh produce, meats, dairy, flowers and baked goods to from Montgomery County, Maryland and across Prince George's County.

What makes a Milk Lady market different?

Our three farmers’ markets (and two farmstand locations) are more than places to shop. They’re the social events of the season, where families, farmers and artisans come together over good food. “It’s about creating an experience where people feel connected to their food, their neighbors and their community,” Gigi says.

What’s next for Milk Lady Markets?

A year-round indoor marketplace and eatery. Farmers’ markets are seasonal with short hours, and our shoppers have asked for a way to buy local food any day of the week without racing the closing bell. Since 2022, when we tested the idea with a curated farmstand at our Saturday market, the response told us it’s time to bring it indoors, and we’ve continued the farmstand booth at each market location while looking for an indoor location.
