Platter of deviled eggs

Bacon, sweet relish and black olives give these deviled eggs a little more going on than the usual version. They're a good use for a dozen fresh eggs from the market and an easy dish to bring to a cookout.

Makes 24 · 15 minutes

Ingredients

  • 12 hard-boiled eggs, peeled
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 4 to 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 3 teaspoons sweet pickle relish
  • 1 (4½-ounce) can chopped black olives, drained
  • Salt and pepper
  • Paprika, for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Halve the eggs lengthwise and pop the yolks into a bowl.
  2. Add the mayonnaise, mustard, bacon, relish and olives to the yolks and mash until well blended.
  3. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  4. Spoon the filling back into the egg whites and arrange them on a platter.
  5. Dust lightly with paprika before serving.
